How to get to
Gerês Paradise

The last few kilometres are narrow mountain roads, and Google Maps often sends you down very rough paths. Once you reach Louredo, don't follow the GPS: follow these directions.

The most important thing

After Louredo, always stay on the main road and follow the blue AL DOBAU signs. Never go up Rua de Cela.

Set your GPS to the Louredo Parish Office
Don't enter the house address right away. First, set your GPS to the Louredo Parish Office (Junta de Freguesia de Louredo). That way you take the best route.

Along the way, turn left at the signs for Teixogueiras, Fornelos and Coroas, across from the Restaurante Cabreira. It's the easiest way in.

At the Parish Office, set the house in your GPS
When you reach the white Parish Office building, you can now enter the house's location. You're only a few minutes away.

The stone cross
Follow the road until you see a stone cross in the middle of the junction. Go around the cross in the direction the blue arrow points and continue. Don't take the steep road on the right.

The chapel and the signs
You'll pass a small chapel on the left. Right after, there's a post with many signs. Don't turn left: follow the AL DOBAU sign and continue straight ahead. There's also a small Gerês Paradise sign, but the AL Dobau one is easier to see.

The narrow road
The road becomes very narrow, only one car at a time. If someone comes the other way, pull over to let them pass. Go slowly.
Don't go up Rua de Cela
You'll see a very steep cobbled climb, with a small sign reading Rua de Cela. Don't go up. Continue on the road, which curves to the left. Neither arriving nor leaving, even if Google Maps tells you to go that way. It's very steep and tight, and afterwards it's very difficult to get out.

Enter the cobbled lane
At the next junction, the tarmac continues to the left. Don't go that way. Go straight ahead, to the right, along the narrow cobbled lane, where the AL DOBAU sign points. It looks like an old village lane: that's exactly the way.

Keep following the AL Dobau signs
Further on, another road appears on the right. Don't turn. Continue on the road and take the curve, following the AL DOBAU sign.

You've arrived! Welcome
You'll see the two houses, one on the left and one on the right.
To turn the car around: go down a little to the end of the road, turn there, and come back up to the entrance of your house.

Infinity Villa
Arrival
After turning around, enter the cobbled lane on the right, by the stone wall. This large gate is Infinity Villa: you've arrived! The key boxes are on the wall to the right of the gate, under the intercom: Box 1 on the left and Box 2 on the right.

If you booked Serenity Villa, don't stop at Infinity: carry on a little further.

Continue straight
Pass the Infinity Villa gate and continue straight along the road, beside the stone wall.

At the end of the wall, by the wooden pole, go down the cobbled slope to the left.

Turn left into the house
At the bottom, turn left into Serenity Villa.

You'll see the stone wall with the Gerês Paradise sign, the intercom and the key boxes. You've arrived!

The key boxes
The keys are in the two boxes on the wall: Box 1 is to the left of the intercom and Box 2 to the right. We'll send you the codes before you arrive.

To leave: go back the same way. And remember: never go via Rua de Cela, even if the GPS says so.
