Space for the Whole Group
Groups and families need room, and they also need somewhere that feels like a home rather than a corridor of hotel rooms. Each of our two villas in Louredo sleeps up to 10 guests in four bedrooms, with seven bathrooms (three in the ground-floor one-bedroom apartment and four in the top-floor three-bedroom apartment), a fully equipped kitchen and living spaces for everyone to share.
There is flexibility in how you take the house, too. Rent the whole villa and the whole property is yours, or rent a floor with its own separate entrance: a three-bedroom unit, or a one-bedroom unit with private kitchen and living room. Families travelling together often take different floors, which gives everyone privacy and a shared place to meet. The pool and the jacuzzi are shared between those two units of the same villa, because both belong to the same house.

Room for Everyone to Do Their Own Thing
Every bedroom is a private suite with its own bathroom, so nobody has to queue in the morning and couples and children can settle at their own pace. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking for a full house, and there is a wine cellar for the evenings.
Guests who want to slow down have options on site: a small gym with the option of trainers and therapists, and massages and yoga classes that can be booked on demand. Fibre internet and high-speed Wi-Fi keep everyone connected, whether that is for work or for sharing the day's photographs.
Getting Everyone There
Most groups arrive by car. Louredo is about 40 minutes from Braga and roughly 1 hour 15 minutes from Porto airport, with private parking at the house. Airport transfers can also be arranged if some of the group are flying in.
The national park starts about five minutes from the gate, so families can split up during the day — some walking to a waterfall, others staying by the pool — and meet again in the evening. Our guide to the waterfalls of Gerês is a good place to choose a walk that suits everyone.
