Villa with Jacuzzi near Peneda-Gerês National Park
Two private villas in Louredo, Gerês, with a heated jacuzzi and an infinity pool, minutes from the trails and waterfalls of Portugal's only national park.
A Heated Jacuzzi after a Day in the Park
A day of walking in Peneda-Gerês usually ends with tired legs, and that is exactly what the heated jacuzzi is for. Both of our villas in Louredo have one, right beside the infinity pool, with the waterfall and the mountains in front of you.
The jacuzzi is heated and can be used all year round, which matters in a mountain region where evenings stay cool even in summer. In winter and early spring the waterfalls are at their most powerful, and coming back to warm water afterwards is the best part of the day.
Each villa has four bedrooms, seven bathrooms (three in the ground-floor one-bedroom apartment and four in the top-floor three-bedroom apartment) and space for up to 10 guests. You can rent the whole house, or a floor with its own separate entrance: a three-bedroom unit, or a one-bedroom unit with private kitchen and living room. The pool and the jacuzzi are shared between those two units of the same villa, because both belong to the same house.

Between the Trails and the Water
Louredo is about five minutes' drive from Peneda-Gerês National Park, which makes the jacuzzi an easy end to any outing. Walk to the waterfalls in the morning, stop at a river beach or a viewpoint on the way back, and be in warm water before dinner.
The park has more than 40 marked trails, from short family walks to long mountain routes, and plenty of them finish near water. Our guide to the waterfalls of Gerês gathers the cascades, lagoons and trails in one place, so you can plan the day around how far you feel like walking.
Comfort in Every Season
Gerês has four very different seasons, and the houses are set up for all of them: central heating for the cooler months, air conditioning for summer, and fibre internet if you need to work while you are here.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a wine cellar for evenings in. Catering can be arranged at special pricing on request, airport transfers are available, and both villas have private parking. Gerês Paradise is licensed local accommodation (AL 163176/AL).
Louredo is roughly 40 minutes from Braga and about 1 hour 15 minutes by car from Porto airport.
